Asian style creamy garlic chicken


2 chicken breast cut into bite size pieces

10 garlic clove finely diced

1 brown onion sliced

4 tablespoons cooking sake ( sold in the Asian section of most grocery stores )

3 tablespoons soy sauce

300ml cream

1 tablespoon sesame oil

Salt and pepper to taste

Toasted sesame seeds to garnish

Sauteed Chinese broccoli or fresh chopped spring onion to garnish

Steamed jasmine rice to serve


Heat up a fry pan to a high heat, add a small amount of oil then add the chicken. Cook the chicken until golden then remove from the pan and set aside. In the same pan add a little more oil then add the garlic and onion. Saute for a few minutes then add the cooking sake. Let the sake cook of for 1 minute then add the soy sauce and cream. Simmer for 5-10 minutes or until the sauce is starting to thicken a little. Add the cooked chicken back in then taste and season with salt and pepper. Turn the heat off and stir through the sesame oil.


Serve on top of steamed rice then top with your Sauteed broccoli or fresh chopped spring onion. Sprinkle with sesame seeds!. Enjoy!
